Class is held two mornings a week. We strive to help students develop a love for learning, build a faith foundation, and help students grow socially. Introduction to various adademics are made in the areas of reading readiness, math, science, and social science. Curriculum Highlights Religion God Jesus Christ "I am Special" curriculum Language Art Skills Story appreciation Retelling of stories and songs Recognize name Recognize colors Beginning letter recognition Beginning phonics Math Skills Number recognition Beginning calendar skills Counting Shape recognition Physical Development Develop large motor skills (climbing, hopping, heel to toe walking, throwing/catching, etc.) Develop small motor skills (pencil grasp, tracing lines, stringing beads, stacking blocks, etc.) Social Development Separate from family Participate in group activities Demonstrate respect Practice self-control Manage transitions Interact with peers Little Shamrocks Preschool/K Prep Pacelli Catholic Schools provides quality early childhood education for 3 and 4 year olds. Our Little Shamrocks 4 and 5-year-old program is offered 3 days per week. Kindergarten Prep, a 4 and 5-year-old program, is offered 4 afternoons per week. Students must be 4 by September 1st to enroll in Kindergarten Prep. We provide a Christian environment in which the children can experience all of the facets of preschool, such as reading and math readiness, science, health and socialization skills.
