A Message from Pacelli Catholic Schools...

I am often asked, "Why should I send my child to the Catholic Schools?" I have several answers to that question. Some relate to academics, but most are school climate. So here are my top ten reasons to send your child to our Catholic Schools:

  • 10. Starting Early: In the Pacelli Catholic Elementary building, we offer three- and four-year-old preschool programs. Research has shown that starting your child early gives them a much needed head- start on their schooling.
  • 9. Family Atmosphere: Our school climate fosters an atmosphere of acceptance, consideration and camaraderie.
  • 8. Activities: Students at Pacelli Catholic are involved in many activities: drama, journalism, yearbook, student council, student ambassadors, sports, music, community service and more. Of our students in grades 7-12, 90% are involved because they can be--there is always room for them on a team.
  • 7. Academic Quality: We give standardized tests at every grade level. Our students perform consistently above average. For example, last year's 5th grade students, on average, scored approximately two grade levels above in Reading, Math, Language Arts, and almost three grade levels above in Science.
  • 6. Challenging Curriculum: When students graduate from our school system they are ready for the rigors of college. We offer classes such as Statistics, Humanities, Shakespeare, and Physics. We evaluate courses on a yearly basis insisting on high standards for our curriculum.
  • 5. Safety: Our students feel safe on our campus and in our classrooms. Respect is a core value of our school which we instill in every classroom.
  • 4. Small Classes: Because of our small classes, our students receive more individualized attention. Students don't fall through the cracks and can't be uninvolved.
  • 3. Quality of Teachers: Our certified teachers go above and beyond to help your child grow and learn. Many of our teachers have Master's Degrees or have furthered their educational pursuits.
  • 2. Mass: Every week our students go to the church for Mass. This hour is well spent with spiritual songs, quiet reflection, and guidance on how to live your life as Jesus wants.
  • 1. Values and Morals: The ideals you teach at home are reinforced by our staff and teachers. You, as parents, are the primary teachers of your children. We work together with you to strengthen the moral and spiritual foundation of your children.

As you look over this website, you will understand that we strive to do our very best for every child—every day.
